Hardwood Only:

Some robotic vacuums are only designed to clean hardwood flooring. They usually also come with a cleaning pad (much like a Swiffer Mopping pad) that you are able to soak in floor cleaner and it will automatically clean your hard floors back and forth. This is great because this bot can vacuum your floors, and mop them! Obviously, this is not the robot vacuum for you if you have Neato Xv-21 Reviewcarpet!

Cleaning Options:

Every robotic vacuum comes with different cleaning options. Before you buy, look into these cleaning options.
If you find that you have small and specific messes, you will want a robot vacuum that comes with a “Spot Cleaning” option. This means that you put the vacuum on the spot you want cleaned and it will only clean within the area of the mess.

If your flooring gets consistently dirty with dust and dirt, you want to look into a robotic vacuum that has scheduling options. With this option, you can set the vacuum to clean at a certain time everyday without you needing to start it. This keeps your floors clean, and allows you to come home to freshly cleaned floors without lifting a finger!

Some robot vacuums even come with a remote control that allows you to turn on and control the vacuum from the comfort of your couch. This is a great option for anybody with mobility problems or a bad back, because you dont have to bend down to turn on the machine.
